12 Steps to Abandoning the Science Fiction Forum

It seems that years ago, I have yet to find out the date, there were some members of the 4M who were not getting along with some members of the Press, a campus paper. In return, since many articles written in the Press are editorials, they wrote 12 Steps to Abandoning the Science Fiction Forum (SF4M) in Favor of the Stony Brook Press.

12 Steps to Abandoning the Science Fiction Forum (SF4M) in Favor of the Stony Brook Press

  1. Admit to yourself that you have a problem that's beyond your control.
  2. Ask for a higher power (I.E. The Press Staff) to take away your sins.
  3. Stop going to the f*cking 4M
  4. Realize that while some people are called dorks and geeks because of the mean spirits of others: some people are called geeks and dorks because they are horrible little trolls without social skills
  5. Accept that leaving the forum exponentially increase your chances of getting laid on a regular basis
  6. Quietly ditch the people of the forum (use your forward to phone mail option)
  7. Publish outright slander about the sci-fi forum and bury your guilt in drugs and booze
  8. Reflect upon the fact that having left the forum you now recieve "hand shady's" from people you can stomach to see with the lights on
  9. Wipe the brick off your apples and pears and step into me chicken nuggets
  10. Resist the urge to play vampire: the masquerade
  11. Enjoy ICON, not for the meat stand, but by witnessing the unspoken shame of it's patrons
  12. Realize the truth is not out there, it is in here
