A listing in Log on 1979-03-02 which provided a list of former Presidents included Jim Eilbert, but at the time this was rediscovered Jim was not on the list of Presidents on this wiki. The list was originally compiled by Kingbird based on the Timeline (a scroll or series of scrolls on, I believe, that brown paper you can get in big rolls) brought out each Forum Anniversary. The Log entry gets precedence, because the Anniversary timelines are likely from the 1980s or 1990s.
This was brought up on Facebook, and it elicited [1]...

So I'm old - yes, and Jim Eilbert is a friend. He was Jim Frenkel's roommate in the beginning. I'm sure he was the second president - not that we were democratic and voted or anything. Since it was primarily a boys club in a very small group, order was rare and almost secret. I'll try to contact him, last seen in the wilds of New Jersey teaching c complex math concepts. His wife Lauren Lasky was also an sf fan and a friend of mine. She wound up wearing moon suits in dangerous places. Somehow, we all survived.
