Originally the LGBA, when the 'T' was added, some Forumites took to referring to it as the "GA BLT" (pronouned Gay BLT).
The Omnipaedia has this to say on the topic of Bisexuality:

In a recent discussion between various Forumites and a certain e-board member of the LGBTA, it was determined that the LGBTA is analogous to the Guild of Companions in the Firefly universe.
