Meeting Notes: 9/2/10 [Sep. 3rd, 2010|11:32 am] davidrspector Meeting called to order at 7:00pm President's Report: Hi, I'm Adele and somehow I'm your president. Good news, they fixed the ceiling! Has anybody received emails from USG? Last semester the forum did not receive various emails from USG that were supposed to be sent to all clubs. The club fair is coming up, so we better get on that. I have a friend who works with the press who wants us to advertise. (Roman's idea for an advertisement: The Scifi Forum: it's better than flesh eating bacteria!) Vice President's Report: (Jmax yields the floor to a representative from the anime club) Hey, I'm from the anime club, and we were wondering if we could run a joint movie marathon with you guys next week. The movie marathon will be held next Thursday at 6:30pm. You should attend. Treasurer's Report: We have a budget of $4,000 this year. It's slightly more than what our budget was last year after we complained. I'm working on a grant for new shelves, a media center, etc. Librarian's Report: Sign up for Shiftholding. Also, we are in the process of updating the library computer. Roman- The current computer is crap, the forum already has the necessary replacements so we wont have to spend any money on fixing the computer. Head AC: You may recall my banning of food in the forum due to your utter lack of cleanliness. I've decided to give you all one more chance. Food may be eaten in the forum for one more week, if at the end of the week (next Thursday at 7:00pm) the forum is not clean food will be banned once more. I don't want to ban food, nor do I want to be Stalin, so just keep the forum clean. Aaron- The forum is getting more furniture. Sub Ac For Life: I brought a bunch of new movies in. Historian's Report: (Ian was absent, Aaron and Izzy bickered.) Comittees: PR: The forum needs to advertise. Fundraising: The hat is now a bowler, due to a Doctor Who like regeneration process. New Business: Lukas: John Reddy donated a bunch of books. (Thanks Jon, if you're reading) Roman: Another family has generously offered to donate what amounts to seven boxes of books to us. They would prefer it if we picked up the books ourselves. On an unrelated note, the forum's bar code scanner fails. David: The Union is having a 40th anniversary celebration. They want all of the clubs in the union to run some sort of activity. I think we should participate, it could generate interest in the forum. Aaron: We're getting keys! Also, I'd like to allocate $25 to Home Depot. (The allocation was approved) Meeting Ends at 7:36pm.
