Meeting notes 4/8/10

Meeting opens at 7:06

 

President: I’m done with this bullshit. I want this to be over, so I’m gonna shoot first and ask questions later. That said, Humans vs. Zombies is going on and people are loving the shit out of it. Someone will be coming to the 4M around 4 pm on Monday to collect our bottles. In other news, ICON was last week. Thanks to Dave, Adele, Paul Africano and anyone else who did shifts at the 4M table. No one showed up to the videogame thing on Monday (cue Roman’s angry tirade). A nearby elementary school burned down, and they want books. If anyone wants to provide something, feel free.

Vice President: Fucking Angry! We have a fridge. Someone unplugged it to plug in their shit and left it that way. That is unacceptable. Garbage situation isn’t bad but it’s getting there.

Treasurer: There was a book missing from an order, but it came in later.

Secretary: Hello, I have nothing to say.

Librarian: Earlier this week, I’m sure you’ve noticed, we got new zombie stuff for people to check out. I managed to stamp all of them. We still have no book slips. I place of them I used bookmarks. ResourceMate is acting up, but I’m working on it. Shiftholders keep up the good work, thank you for doing your job.

Head AC: I’ve got very little to report. I’m still trying to do something over the summer. Jmax and I want to do paintball. There’s no real info yet but keep an ear to the ground. I was also thinking of a trip to Splish Splash. Possible drive-in movies in South P. Additionally, I will be throwing a lot more money to Amazon for movies. I am clearing our budget! Clearance sale! (Adib: On our money?!) Everything must go! (Adib runs off with Roman’s credit card).

Sub AC for Life: The movie 9 is missing. I want it back. If it is not returned, a random forumite will be sacrificed to Cthulhu. (I nominate Phil! Acclimate!) My game went well last week.

Historian: Howie can count on one hand the number of times we’ve had an outdoor meeting (including today). Jackie: Once upon a time, Roman was wearing pants, but then an eagle came and took them away.

 

Committees:

PR: I’m here! We have a club! ICON’s over! Regatta! We should allocate for a lot of duct tape next week.

Fundraising: Hat! Wind!

Authors: Aaron is not here. And there was much rejoicing. Yay!

 

Old Business: Clean!

New Business: Motion to allocate $327.31 for movies to Amazon. There is cool shit that deserves applause. District Nine, the first season of the spectacular Spiderman, the Princess and the Frog. Seconded. Call for acclimation. Motion passes. Drow wants to know if he should put Avatar on the master list. Roman approves. Lukas: I want to allocate to BJ’s for $300 for the picnic, so we can buy meat and other fine eateries. I also want to allocate in advance (of next week) for half price comic book day.

Announcements: We were thinking of using a grant to buy a PS3 (it will play bluray). (Awesome zombie attack!!!) Jmax talked to the Tabletop Hooligans podcast crew. We might be bringing them in to do a live podcast form the 4M. SBU TV wants people who have knowledge of astronomy. If so, forward your info to Lukas pronto! After Zombies vs. Humans, I’d like to have a zombie movie marathon the weekend after the game ends. Mo, Holly, Howie, Julia, and I went to see Kickass last week. They gave us cool shirts. (Nearby zombie approves). Happy birthday Phil! Congratulations Jackie on getting engaged! Howie will be starting a D&Desque campaign. Three slots are left, and talk to him. Liz is letting the 4M borrow her VHS to DVD burner. There is collateral. Treat it nicely.
