Meeting notes 3/18/10

Meeting opens at 7:08 pm

 

President: Spring is here. That’s great. Move on. ICON is next week. Everyone needs to help out for a few hours at the 4M table. The more of us pool, the less everyone has to work, and we all get to enjoy ICON, which is what we want to do. I have some allocations tonight. We’re getting HvZ bandannas, plus some zombie-related books and movies. COME TO MEETING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! We almost didn’t make quorum.

Vice President: By proxy: The cleaning situation is again stellar. Yay!

Treasurer: Lukas, Dan, and I went to a budget meeting last Friday. After convincing them that denying us our money would be crippling, we got it passed.

Secretary: Hello. There’s nothing happening.

Librarian: I have some great news! We have ResourceMate! We got it working, and the internet is going a little faster. I will instruct anyone who can’t use it in how to do so. I want to put our new books in, probably a few days after ICON. Keep up the good work, shiftholders. Anyone else interested in Shiftholding, talk to me.

Head AC: Has nothing to report. Mo says: bring friends to Repo Men movie run (Stony Brook Lowes @ 7:05)! Sign up to moderate for HvZ. There is a moderators meeting tomorrow in the SAC Traditions Lounge. We also need to plan missions to keep the game interesting. Jmax mentioned an LotR marathon, and Roman wants to do a Rockband marathon, both over spring break.

Sub AC for Life: I did my DVD check last Tuesday, and everything was there. Paul tried to run my game last week, and no one showed up but me. I will run the game again next week, but not the following week. I ordered DVD’s including Harry Potter 6 and Candyman.

Historian: The Reign of the Dark Lord in the 4M.

 

Committees:

PR: Absent. Thanks to Dave Spector for putting up posters. Kati should be putting up more HvZ posters soon.

Fundraising: Substitute hat: The Number of the Beast!!!

Authors: I went to talk to the president of the LGBTA, who got really excited about doing this.

 

Old Business: Clean! Spector’s planned event for spring break will not happen. The whiteboard will be hung soon.

New Business: Aaron wants to create rafters for storage between our most stable bookshelves.

Announcements: Allocations: $375 to HvZ for bandannas. Motion passes. Lukas wants to do a featured subsection of books each month, and to get more zombie stuff to start this off ($ 209.22 to Amazon). Motion passes. Movies- 39.47 to Amazon.    Aaron is again trying to talk to the building manager of Harriman.
