3/11/10 [Mar. 11th, 2010|10:30 pm] acicc Meeting notes 3/11/10 Meeting opens at 7:05 pm President: The allocations we made to Ikea and Target have been shot down because they are not on the approved vendors list. I’ll make an allocation sometime next week. I met up with Kati from Humans vs. Zombies. We have two meetings times set up for beforehand, and one for afterwards. We have money to spend, so should we get some official HVZ bandannas? I have an invitation to work that out with the budget. I would like to allocate for this. That said, I know Kati’s still looking for some moderators. There’s a Facebook group, and they have meetings in the SAC during campus life. Adib says we should go and rep the 4M! I would also like to allocate for Tshirts because we’re running out. Does anyone have a VHS to DVD converter? Do they want to bring it in, or should we buy one? About ICON, all Forumites are volunteering. Think about when you want to do so, but I’m only expecting about four hours from each person. Vice President: An update on the garbage situation; things have improved, and I am shocked as all hell. As for recycling, we need to find something to do with our bottles. Aaron and Jmax talked about getting a better garbage/recycling receptacle. Aaron co-chaired a thing with the person who heads recycling on campus. He may be able to get a divided trash receptacle outside our door. Treasurer: We have a budget hearing tomorrow at noon. The whiteboard may have arrived. Tomorrow we will have a whiteboard and a confirmed budget. Secretary: Corey Haim just died. I think we should screen “Lost Boys” sometime this week. Librarian: Resourcemate is coming in. We should be getting an email sometimes soon. Keep doing your shifts, thanks for cleaning, and keep up the good work. Aaron: I want to give the Anime Club our old Mac. It will clear space, and we don’t need it. No objections. I’m offering them webspace on my site with the same software the 4M uses, so their catalogue may be up soon. Head AC: Phil, under Roman’s blessing, wants to play Mario Kart on Holly’s N-64. Next weekend, Mo wants to do a movie run for Repo Men. Adib wants to move out of the dungeon that we call our home. We should do other stuff. Think of stuff to do and hit him up. How about outdoor 50’s movies with hula hooping? Sub AC for Life: I performed a DVD check Tuesday, and everything was there. My game this week was epic, if short. I may not be running one next week, so that I can make one that lasts longer than one session. Historian: The Epic Tale of ICON. Committees: PR: We have a website. Fundraising: Cower in fear before The Hat! Authors: Things are picking up. Hillel is willing to work with us this semester. I’ve emailed some of my publishing friends, and tried to set things in motion. Old Business: CLEAN! Because the filing cabinet got shot down, we have to go to Wal-Mart. Its two dollars cheaper. New Business: Some people will be on campus over spring break, what should we do? Spector wants to organize something. Mo will be going to the auto show. CLEAN! Announcements: Somebody left a small gray quilted zipper bag in the 4m. There was Swiss army knife, and some Juicyfruit in it. Anybody know who it belongs to? “What do bodybuilding zombies say? Gains! Gains!” E-board needs to talk to Lukas after meeting. Dave from USG says it is again time to vote whether the student activities fee should be mandatory or voluntary. PSA: Podcast entitled Tabletop Hooligans; they review and discuss stuff. Download for free on iTunes or find them on Facebook. New person: Colleen says hello. Go swimming tomorrow at 8:30! Christopher Lee is coming out with a metal album. Meeting closes at 7:52
