Meeting notes 3/4/10

Meeting opens at 7:00 pm

 

President:

Kati has a quick announcement: “Humans vs. Zombies” is a campus-wide game of tag. I am trying to organize this for April 7th through 12th, but I can’t do it on my own, because I need a club to sponsor me. What I need from you guys is to advertise and possibly get meeting space. I have a Facebook group with 300+ people interested . We need to hold rules meetings. See here http://humansvszombies.org/ Verdict: Full support!

I don’t have to work Thursdays anymore! Roth Regatta is coming up soon. We had a visitor. Holly wants me to read this letter. {Summary} There’s a bigger garbage can. Use the goddam trash bag! Empty the recycling bins! Clean up after yourselves! I love you.

Vice President: Re: garbage. We are trying to get a segmented trash receptacle. Re: NYPIRG wants your recyclables. Use trash bags or take your trash elsewhere. I am again the bad cop. I will tolerate one more week of the garbage bullshit, and then we’re banning food. Take bottles with you. On a lighter note: I’m thinking of doing a hookah lounge run on Saturday night.

Treasurer: I picked up some books from USG. They’re in the 4M by the Librarian’s desk.

Secretary: Where are the bookends?????

Librarian: Thanks to Jmax earlier today, we found out that the voucher for Resourcemate was filled out wrong and they were holding a check for us. The problem has been fixed, and we will be getting software soon. I plan to allocate soon for bookends. The anthologies are shelved and DVD’s are sort of organized. The reference section should go up where there is still shelf space. I’ll figure all that out soon.

Head AC: During spring break, I want to have a Rockband day. I will provide all equipment. Other events may be organized for break. Ian says: Announcements about books fall under “Librarian”. Announcements about DVD’s and games fall under “AC”. Jmax wants to hold a back-to-back extended LOTR marathon. Mo: lots of people are having fun swimming. Show up! Howie is starting a game that will require exactly 7 players. Adib wants to play Frisbee and other outdoor sports. 

Sub AC for Life: I have finally managed to get a check done on all of my DVD’s. Everything is there! Thanks to Julia! I’ve moved a lot of the DVD’s off the shelf for the moment. We need a cabinet. The 3rd session of my Dr. Who game went well.

Historian: Mad props to Drow for the DVD collection.

 

Committees:

PR: Absent. Humans vs. Zombies.

Fundraising: The Hat strikes again!

 

Old Business: CLEAN!!!!! Drow wants a cabinet.

New Business: Allocations: $35 to Target for a new filing cabinet. $75 to DemCo for bookends.

Announcements: CLEAN! 13’s a big number. We ordered a whiteboard.
