Meeeting Notes 2/18/10 [Feb. 19th, 2010|12:05 pm] acicc Meeting notes 2/18/10 Meeting opens at 7:01 PM President: Earlier this week, I was told that the involvement fair was this Wednesday. It was not. I talked to Aaron about the furniture. Our old building manager has been out of reach due to medical concerns. Our furniture is still there, but for the moment it’s out of reach. We will get it, though. Vice President: Access list has been updated. Now you can get into the Forum. Treasurer: Our budget is due tomorrow. I have a template, but I need help filling it out. Secretary: Hello. It’s cold out. Librarian: Shiftholders have access to the Forum. This is a binding agreement: do your job, or I will take away your access. I know we don’t have the software, but we will check out books anyway. I will write instructions this weekend. Show up! Do things! I will have an allocation for books next week. Head AC: Absent, but: Video game things were set up, but don’t overdo it. Keep laptops to a minimum. Unless you are horribly incompetent, former AC’s are still AC’s. The Wolfman sucked. Benicio del Toro was trying, but gave up when Anthony Hopkins didn’t try. Roman re-organized the boxes around the TV. We worked out some allocations. Props to Drow. Sub AC for Life: New movies came in this week: The Black Hole, Minority Report, and the original Swamp Thing. My Torchwood game was a rousing success. I want shelves. Sad Panda! Historian: Courtesy of Ian: A long time ago, there was misery among the administration because the 40th was going on. But it all worked out well. There was networking among old forumites. If anyone among the older forumites wants to organize/fund a 42nd, get on that. Good luck. Commitees: PR: My better half in absent. Jackie made really nice posters. Lucas has them. We should hang them. Authors: Aaron isn’t here. But it would be nice if it existed. Input? Volunteers? Fundraising: Love the hat, fear the hat. Old Business: CLEAN! CLEAN! CLEAN! New Business: CLEAN! Phil wants to allocate $333.85 to Amazon for DVD series. Motion passes. The forum is still in an abhorrent state of disrepair. Shifting and cleaning on Saturday at noon. SHOW UP TO HELP OUT! Announcements: CLEAN! Peter Schilling’s new name is Major Tom. In the early 90’s, a German musician named Peter Schilling wrote an homage to David Bowie’s Space Oddity entitled “Major Tom”. Meeting closes at 7:30
