Meeting called to order at 8:30 PM

President’s Report: To-night is our second to last meeting of the semester. This is also the last meeting before Festivus. Everyone should install Pokemon Shoddy Battle… I’m going to be bored over winter break.

Vice President’s Report: Clean. I picked up our shit from USG and now my arms are sore. I’m annoyed that no one else went to pick up the stuff on Friday. I also picked up the check for Festivus food.

Treasurer’s Report: I spoke with Matt Anderson the other day. I found out that if we want to allocate for things that we don’t repeatedly buy, we have to apply for a grant.

Secretary’s Report: Meh.

Librarian’s Report: We have a library… it’s just in boxes. I was thinking about coming down sometime during the winter break for about a week and I’d like to get a lot more work done in the library. I’ll give you all details as to exactly when I will be down via LiveJournal. … I think for next semester we are going to allocate for a renewal of ResourceMate just so that while we’re waiting for a better option we can still function as a library.

AC Report: I haven’t been down much this week and next week ain’t looking too good either, but my madness ends December 10th. Holly has been wonderful and has gotten us a new trashcan. If you see a trashcan and you don’t see a trash bag in the trashcan, do not continue to throw food into it. Get a new trash bag. THIS IS NOT HARD. I have fully empowered Holly to start murdering people over this. FESTIVUS IS THIS SATURDAY (DECEMBER 5th). It’s from 12:00 – 6:00 in Union Room #236. I’ll be opening up the Forum around 11:00 if any older Forumites want to come and see the new space. There will be food from Quiznos, Feats of Strength, Airing of Grievances, and (enjoyable) holiday themed movies and TV shows. We hope to see you all there.

Sub AC for Life: I brought in new movies, I got the 1989 Batman movie, the 2009 Star Trek movie, and Transformers 2: Revenge of the Fallen. … we still haven’t gotten anything to store the DVDs in, so I can’t do my checks.

Historian’s Report: Since Festivus is this weekend, I might as well mention the history of said event. I haven’t been to too many, but… the event has its roots in an episode of Seinfeld in which there was a non-denominational holiday event which was referred to “Festivus: A Holiday for the Rest of Us.” The holiday was adopted by the Forum, I believe, in the late-90s.

Drow: I had suggested previously that we should think about getting the Carl Sagan Cosmos DVD series and the History Channel’s Universe DVD series, but since we can’t allocate any more this semester, I’m tabling that discussion until next semester.

Adib: I’m proposing a Forum Field Trip… on December 13th there’s a Gwar concert. It’s genre as hell. Hit me up if you want to go.

Phil: Movie run to see The Fantastic Mr. Fox this Sunday (12/6). Time to be determined, it will be posted later.
