Positions to be considered for emergency reelection Fall 2009 [Jul. 23rd, 2009|02:45 pm] alwaysbored89 I wanted to let them announce it themselves, but Julia posted this to the yahoo group a couple days ago and a comment was just made on the lj regarding Howie, so I'll copy Julia's yahoo group post: Hi all, Unfortunately, due to my grades I have to step down as Treasurer of the Science Fiction forum. Now I'm not actually suspended from the university or anything, but my parents have absolutely forbidden me to take anymore interest in the affairs of club activities so that I can pull up my grades in my senior year. Now this wouldn't be a big deal unless I was living with them... which I am. So to appease them I have to give up my position. I wouldn't be able to attend club meetings, nor am I allowed to have any club documents anymore so there's nothing that I can do. I just wanted to let you all know ahead of time so that you have the knowledge of what is going on. This way, current club members can be prepared to nominate someone else. Of course, I wouldn't just let the new treasurer be elected without knowing what to do. I'll still be around to help out, give advise and generally guide them through the motions in the upcoming year. But that is about the most I can do. I'm sorry that it was so sudden like this, but my parents' decision was final, which means I don't actually have a choice. I'll continue to organize the move until the summer is over, but that's the end of it. Again, I'm sorry. - Julia Fu Soon to be Ex-treasurer of SciFi Forum And Howie will be attending Suffolk in the fall so he will be unable to lead us in the presidency. So to sum it all up: We need a new treasurer and president
