Meeting Notes: December 8, 2008 [Dec. 8th, 2008|07:38 pm] alwaysbored89 Meeting called to order at 7:00 PM President's Report: This is the last meeting of the semester. There will not be one next Monday, so don't show up expecting one. Phil will be giving us The Dark Night tomorrow, so thanks. We like him :) Festivus is on schedule, next week, at 4 pm. Movies and such will start before then, but official events start at 4 pm Tuesday the 16th. Vice President's Report: Clean, you fuckers. Secretariat: Hi. My name's Jackie. I blame any typos on Anthony 2/3's presence here tonight Treasurer's Report: USG does not know our numbers. *sad puppy* AC Report: There was some Fable. It was good. Festivus is Tuesday the 16th at 4 pm. Sub AC For Life: Every thing's here, although there were some alphabetical mistakes. Highlander doesn't belong with the B's! 2001: A Space Odyssey goes after 1984. Ordered this month's movies; among them are Sleepy Hallow, Near Dark, and Lost Boys. Orange: February is going to be awesome. Librarian: Dramatic reading didn't happen tonight. If demand is popular enough, it can happen tomorrow evening. Jackie: Do your fucking shift. No one showed up for shift today. This is not cool. Events in the lounge are not reasons to not do your shift. And don't sign up for shifts if you've got to go to work at the same time. Orange: Shift holders should be putting stuff back on the shelves. So show up and do it!!! Historian: Orange tells story about library. Point of order: All non sigs and VP are up for re-election next semester. Nominations are first meeting of the semester. PR Lesbians: We're doings things. Fund raising: *Dances* All other committees: Roman: I tried community service in Fable today... Old Business: Clean!! New Business: Ian: Got an email from Tom at USG explaining to us that we could basically save money by disconnecting the phone. I see pros and cons to this. Discussion: Its useful when people want to call us to know about the forum and stuff. Also, cell reception down here is bad. General Consensus: We likes our phones. Aaron: Suggestion, don't know how practical it is: we have many books that have duplicates. If we could get storage space somewhere, we could store the duplicates elsewhere and reduce the size of the shelved collection for the new room. Discussion about it. Recognition that talking about this is pointless until we find out if we can get storage space. Anthony 2/3: We should go through all our donations and catalog them for the purposes of donor's tax returns. We don't have supplies for carding and boarding them, but we could go through them anyway for the donor's sake. And we should do this starting the very beginning of next semester since we're at the end of this semester and finals and whatnot. Aaron: Website was niftyfied. Applaud JC. Announcements: Roman: J Michael Straczynski. World War Z. Movie. And sometime I'd like to have a movie run for The Day The Earth Stood Still Orange: And at the same time, I want to show the original. AA: Come see my show. Campus lifetime, at the SAC. Orange: I watched Wall-E and it made me very sad and then it made me happy. I watched it twice. And then I watched it with the commentary. And then I watched it again. Thanks Mike and Lisa for letting me borrow it!! Meeting closed at 7:38 pm
