Meeting notes: November 3rd, 2008 [Nov. 3rd, 2008|07:31 pm] hoskie Meeting called to order at 6:55 PM President’s Report: I am in fact a rocknrolla! Friday we had our Halloween Double Feature, I would have liked to have seen more people that I didn’t know, but I still think we had a great turn out. Props to both Roman and Orange for their collective efforts in making that happen. *everyone applauds Orange & Roman* I realise that certain officers can’t make every meeting, but it would be nice if the people that spend most of our money could be here. Vice President’s Report: There is a big cauldron full of candy, everyone is welcome to eat from it… but if I see candy wrappers lying around I will slaughter you all. The bookshelves are for storing things, they are only for storing BOOKS. Don’t leave your stuff on the bookshelves like drinks and Magic cards. CLEAN! Treasurer’s Report: Everything is fine. Secretary’s Report: This is really more for announcements, but I AM GOING TO KILL AARON if we don’t make this phone call happen soon. We’re making efforts to get the 40th Anniversary business moving along, but there have been some coordination problems. *grumbles* AC Report (Jackie): The AV cabinet was left open. This is not acceptable! As some of you may know, Wednesday is November 5th, so we’ll probably be showing V for Vendetta. I’m sure that Orange is very happy about the Halloween event. Roman donated the two Futurama movies and we’ll have labels for them soon. Sub AC For Life: The cabinet is okay. Orange isn’t here. Boo. :( Librarian’s Report (Sam): I am filled with rage! The allocation money went through for ResourceMate, however, the software has not yet been renewed. Also, The Leaning Tower of the Forum has unfortunately returned. The front bookshelf in the library is extremely unstable. We have taken all of the stuff off the top of it and have posted signs to warn everyone. Don’t touch it. If you touch, I will kill. Shiftholders be sure to warn anyone who goes in to the library not to touch the front shelf. Please please please be very careful in there. Lisa and I will be working on new shiftholder training, mainly for those who have not held shift before or just in very little bits. We’ll be covering using ResourceMate, how to deal with donations, etc. This does not apply to everyone, but if it applies to you we will let you know. Please help us with shiftholding; even if you can only donate an hour of your time… Historian (Lisa): *tells a story of the Great Flood of 2006* (Sam): *reads a random page of Log* Committees PR: Halloween went pretty well, and I’m sorry that we didn’t get more fliers out before the event. Fundraising: *dancing* New Business None. Old Business Jackie: CLEAN! Announcements AA: Vote to-morrow, dammit! Kim: Rocknrolla was really really awesome! Adib: Fuck Michael Bay for making Jason Voorhees run. Ian: In addition to voting to-morrow… vote correctly. Phil: Quantum of Solace movie run, Friday, November 14, 2008; details here. Sam: My friend’s kid dressed up as Doctor Horrible for Halloween. It was adorable. Thank you Tracy, even though you’re probably not reading this. AA: Come see “Swallow This” this Wednesday, Kelly Dining at 9:00 PM. Meeting closed at 7:23 PM
