Meeting notes: 3-26-2008

Matt Screams: Silence!
Anthony(Me) jumps, half falls off chair and screams.

Meeting called to order at 7:01pm

President’s report:  That was awesome!  Yesterday, Jackie and I went to our budget hearing, and it was very successful, and although we don’t have confirmation, we might get several grants.  Attendance has Fallen.  * unauthorized bickering  * please try and remind people of meetings.  

VP:  please follow the rules of the forum.  

Treasurer:  beyond matt and my evil plan working:  people need to spend the money they are supposed to.  We got a message that the Alien Quadrilogy jumped in price from 39 dollars to 50 dollars, the allocation amount has gone up 10 bucks.

We also may be able to get a copy of pi from USG, as the previously owned  by a defunct club. the pi is so good.  

Secretary:  we try to track down last week’s attendance, as I was not here.  

Librarian:  Has no massive announcements.  Shift-holders do your Jobs, try to show up.  Next week we will be allocating for a 10 of books from Amazon.  Book club last week was poor at best, then we watched the movie.  World War Z is the April 29th book club book.  We will do another dramatic Reading at some time, this will be the 15th of April.  

Soon the library PC will have two monitors, this is not for anyone but me to use for gaming purposes.  Rather this is for keeping the catalogue at all times.  
Aaron: if anyone has suggestions for the online catalogue give it to me.  

AC:  I have many announcements.  Their was an impromptu movie day, and Special effects night, and Mind Fucked night, all were good.  Roman wants to do a movie night, next Thursday.  Jackie will help me do a Funny X-files marathon.  Sam wants to do a Battle star galactaca marathon.  
For all AC’s :  please try and start impromptu themed movie nights, for people to continue through the day.
Winning the poll for the TV series to be allocated for: is Adam’s Family

Drow:  We have new movies, Andromeda Strain, BBC Hitchhikers guide, and when worlds collide.  
Addendum: I found the Village and V for Vendetta out of order, respect the Alphabet!

CS- Aaaron:  (now appointed to the CS) the school is giving us 3 new MAC G5s they are awesome, and they will replace the current machines.  The Desk will go to the farm.  

Matt: Explains how this will increase or space, and allow us access to previously blocked shelves.  

Aaron: I will hook up the router, And now Back to class, I’m TAing.  

Bobby: holly crap were still in reports!

Historian:  I hear that the forum has a button maker, thus ending years of conflict.

In honour of the Easter Tradition, we behead a chocolate Rabbit!!!

Anthony:  John Ready was here, and has most of logs one through twenty

Committees:

Fundraising: Dances.
Matt: We can now sell things on E-Bay, and report the profits to USG, like old vhs.

Orange:  If we make to much money USG might take it out of our budget next year.  But if it’s for something we wont allocate for , they might not.  More discussion later.

Advertising:  we will have advertising for ICON, we will have New flyers, buttons, and bookmarks.  We will have mandatory volunteerism, in order to accomplish this.  

Community Service:
Orange: Goth Em, do you have the information for the place? * other confusing banter *
The Used book café, on Crosby street will take large donations for the benefit of those living with Aids

Old Business:
Matt Motions to adjust the Amazon allocation, for Alien Quadrilogy, and Firefly.

Matt: reminds people that the library will be dead bolted for icon.  The lounge will be dead-bolted at night, NO DRINKING.  

New Business:  

Orange: I would like to allocate $314.95, for the Adams family and Doctor Who series 1-3 and Torchwood.

Announcements:
Orange: I would like to Thank Julia, Jackie, Roman Phil, Kim and others for helping take out the garbage bag.  Please take out the garbage.  

Heather: My Hamster died, does anyone have a shovel.  

The Jim:  I am donating this VCR.
