I'm sure Sherman was proud. Upcoming Events: This Sunday... Cataloging event. We will have new shelving units for the library, and we will be expanding the library out along the walls. We will need manpower for this, so please show up around 2 p.m. - 2/22/98. Bring food and drink. We have a fridge, microwave, and coffee maker available in our lounge to use. Wednesday... 2/25/98 *OPEN HOUSE* 4 p.m.- 8 p.m. We will be inviting people from Polity, AMS, Student Activities, Staff and other faculty that have had an influence on us. 3TV will also be putting in an appearance. Though we are getting the usual pizza, we are asking that people in the Forum, treat this Open House like a pot luck dinner, and bring food. Starship Troopers is playing at the large Staller movie theatre on Feb. 27th. Rock (ok, Wall) Climbing, on 3/1/98 - meet at the Forum in Harriman 029 at 12 pm. First time people will cost about $20 - people who have been there before, will be around $5 less. March 8th, Laura Kolker (our Secretary) is having a piano recital in the Staller Center. No charge. Please come! The ICON Science Fiction Convention at Stony Brook- March 27th-29th (if you are planning on volunteering for something and haven't done it yet, I would imagine that you should do it now). More info availible at http://www.iconsf.org/ XTREME FORUM PART 2 **White Water Rafting** April 5th (Sunday after ICON) It's in the Pocanos, Lehigh River Gorge. The trip down the river will take about 4 1/2 hours. Bring a packed lunch, and an extra set of clothes. Wet suits will be available to rent for $10. Our check in time is at 10:55a.m. - so we will leave from the Forum at 7:30 a.m. or you can meet us there. This is open to anyone who wants to go with the Science Fiction Forum (as all of our events are).
