Howdy all! i decided to post something because the newsgroup looked lonely.

hey! is there going to be a Roth Quad Regatta this year or what? I think it is

supposed to be sometime around this time of year....

I suppose I should write something about Sci-Fi...Unfortunately I have

not had the opportunity to read anything lately.

Ahhhhh! Young whippersnappers! In my day you couldn't get IN the Roth

Pond Regatta without having read the entire Foundation trilogy, written a

five page critique of _Last and First Men_, and catalogued twenty books.

It's a shame that the old forumites were driven away in disgust. The new

forumites don't know the old traditions RE Roth Pond, like the fact that

outgoing presidents are thrown in after the new guy or girl takes over,

or that forumites once had a viking funeral for a dead iguana on the pond.

Actually, it was a Tegu lizard, not an iguana. It belonged (while alive)

to Margaret Basile, but she left it in the care of one Peter Ottenbacher,

who let it freeze to death. So it was buried at sea in Roth Pond.
