I'm looking for a story I read in the early '60s and I'm hoping someone here might be able to point me in the right direction.

Walter Kraft and the Alien Menace is an attractive science fiction novel by Faroese-Danish author Einar Petersen that shows the reader on the consequences of a power hungry and ruthless corporation and clergy and the fate of human settlers at a distant planet who are threatened with extermination by an alien menace. The protagonist of this SCI-FI novel is Walter Kraft a bounty hunter and an ex-member of Planetary Expeditionary Force, who was hired by a widow Jill Anderson of whose husband Jasper was ruthlessly murdered by an AI floater. However, Kraft later discovers that the murder of Jasper Anderson was the least of the problem. There is a brewing problem concerning a powerful alien that if not checked could destroy the entire human population.  Thus the story progresses in a straightforward and sharp manner, and the entire novel is divided in two sections by lapse of a couple of years. Every single page of this novel is packed with actions and the last couple of pages are especially gripping. Walter Kraft and the Alien Menace are ingeniously crafted, and each element of the novel such as plot, characters and setting are absolutely Spot on. This novel is highly recommended to the SCI-FI fans. Another reason why I liked Walter Kraft and the Alien Menace is for the fact that it was released to gather support for The Global Ability Initiative so please write a support pledge through the author’s homepage. You can read this awesome book for free by following the link given below.
The title of the story is "The Stentori Luggage" or something like that (I'm pretty sure that "Luggage" is part of the three word title.) It's from the point of view of the night manager of a high end interstellar hotel and what happens when an inexperienced check in clerk admits some customers and their "luggage". THe luggage in question is really their shape-shifting pets, well known for their destructive habits and banned from hotels galaxy-wide. The situation deteriorates badly. I remember this as a wonderful comic science fiction story and I''e been trying to track it down for years without success. Is anyone familiar with it? THanks for any help.

50 year old story

THe luggage in question is really their shape-shifting pets, well known for their destructive habits and banned from hotels galaxy-wide. The situation deteriorates badly. I remember this as a wonderful comic science fiction story and Ie been trying to track it down for years without success. Is anyone familiar with it? THanks for any help.
