Warky T. Chocobo is the stage name of Steve Nunez, an American voice actor and performance pianist who commonly plays at Anime conventions.

Background

Steve Nunez was born March 8, 1980 on Long Island, New York. He grew up playing video games, first on his commodore 64, and eventually at the ripe age of 5, playing Nintendo. Steve remembers popping in Super Mario Brothers, and from the moment that first note played, he was hooked.

Steve wanted to learn to play piano so that he could recreate the melodic tones he heard. Being too poor for piano lessons, Steve taught himself to play the piano without using his thumbs.

Career

"Warky" started off his convention career in AnimeLand Tucon (located in Tucson AZ) 2009 when requested to be there by a fan. The west fell in love with Warky's music and his fame only continued to grow as he went and performed at more and more anime conventions. He now travels across the country each year going to Video Game Expositions, and Anime Conventions playing his fans' favorite video game and anime soundtracks on his piano. His local anime convention is Anime Banzai.

Warky has also lettered several comic strips for Yaoi Press as well as some comic books, including Where's Wendy by Legacy Action Comics.

His most recent work is in an LDS band called They Might Be Elders, a Parody band.

Warky started voice acting through his recording company DragonFleet Studios, and is now a member of AFTRA. He has provided voices for a number of characters in English language Audio Books. He also both played the voice of the Narrator and edited for the audio-book version of Prophecy Of The Flame. He is currently voice acting for a game called Return of the Guitar Lord.

Warky also makes multiple appearances at Anime conventions every year as a featured guest.

He has been interviewed by many newspapers, blogs, podcasts, and media.
